To maximize the synergy of the charity services, momo has focused on the social issues of the disadvantaged groups, and also echoed the group's internal call. Moreover, we expand the attention to issues such as "wildlife conservation," "arts and culture promotion" and "food waste," cultivating a good corporate culture of social care and driving positive forces in society. Creating a Force for Good, Enhancing the Performance of Social Good
Fubon Charity Ambassador
momo and the Fubon Charity Foundation have been working together for many years on the "Fubon Charity Ambassadors" program, in which 51,714 people has participated in the online voting. To encourage our employees to actively engage in charitable causes, the program has extended its focus from "social welfare" to "social enterprises," with the aim of creating a platform for staff to take part in charity work and to help socially disadvantaged groups or social enterprises that improve social problems to develop related activities. All current employees of Fubon Group may submit a proposal in the program to support a socially vulnerable group. Through the establishment of an online platform and volunteer training, and the provision of funding and gift sponsorship totaling NT$550,000, we were spreading love to all corners of society.
Solar For Good_Green Energy Charity Project
For the sixth consecutive year since 2017, Taiwan Mobile has been pushing ahead with its "Solar For Good: Green Energy Charity Project" and called on the entire community in 2022 to contribute funds to the Kanner Foundation of Taiwan. This project was a continuation of the innovative model of building a solar photovoltaic system, and in line with the government's renewable energy policy and the relevant electricity sales mechanism, it combined renewable energy and sold electricity wholesale to the power company, so that the charity could be multiplied and amplified. We actively responded to the project by creating a dedicated page for the event. The campaign brought in a total of NT$210,000 to help autistics find the dignity and opportunities they deserve, to open the window of autism with sunlight, to plant 20 years of hope for young people with Kanner's Syndrome with green energy, and to continue to turn the cycle of love and kindness with green energy.
WildOne_Wildlife Conservation
As an important medical service provider for wildlife in eastern Taiwan, the WildOne Wildlife Conservation Association is tasked with the rescue, treatment, training, releasing, follow-up and environmental education for injured and orphaned wildlife. Since its establishment in 2020, the WildOne hospital has helped more than 800 unique and precious animals in Taiwan. With social and economic development and human over-exploitation, the habitats of wildlife are constantly being infringed upon and their territory restricted. momo extended the reach to wildlife conservation, collecting donations totaling NT$230,000 for wildlife rescue and medical support, so that more wild animals can have the opportunity to return to their habitats, and protected Taiwan's precious creatures together!
Women In Taipei
To support the development of film and television culture in Taiwan, momo collaborated with streaming platform Disney+ to expose the merchandise associated with the drama "Women In Taipei" through an online event page. The 70-day collaboration brought in about 120,000 visitors and the social posts reached 40,000 people, successfully boosting the social media reactions to the show.
Cooperation and Donations to Social Welfare Groups
Apart from the millions of products on momo's website, which are made available by branded suppliers, momo also has many bought-out products. To keep supplies from going to waste, we started working with the food banks and the Zenan Homeless Social Welfare Foundation in 2022 to distribute our own supplies to all the foundation's locations nationwide, including daily necessities, personal cleaning products, mattresses, clothing, children's products, etc. A total of 3,868 items were donated, which translated into NT$1.45 million, hoping that through the flexible use of materials, resources could reach those in need.
Nearly 1.4 million invoices donated by momo's 380,000 members in 2022
Besides being able to donate money and goods on momo’s website, the nature of the online shopping platform also makes it easy for consumers to donate invoices for charity with the click of a finger. Consumers can choose the "Donate Invoice" option at checkout when placing orders on the momo website and app, and donate their invoices according to their preferences to the First Social Welfare Foundation, the John Tung Foundation, the Spinal Cord Injury Foundation, the Formosa Cancer Foundation, the Caring for Taiwan Foundation, etc. To encourage participation, momo also partnered with major tax agencies to launch a momo-currency raffle, offering incentives for people to contribute invoices to the cause. In 2022, more than 380,000 members responded and donated 1,393,076 invoices, with an average of more than 110,000 invoices collected each month, in a bid to increase financial support for social welfare organizations through various channels.
